A Senior Session That Tells Maddy’s Story


More Than Just Pretty Pictures

One of my favorite parts of senior photography is that it’s about so much more than taking pretty pictures. It’s all about telling your story: the things you love, the sports you play, the people who matter to you, and all the little details that make you.

That’s exactly what we did for Maddy, who traveled from Fond du Lac to Sheboygan for her senior pictures. And somehow, Maddy, her mom, and I clicked like we had known each other forever. Did we just become best friends? 😂


Before her session even started, Maddy was pampered with professional hair and makeup before we headed to the lakefront to make the most of the evening.

Maddy’s session included so many pieces of her life. We photographed her with Emma, her dog, incorporated her softball jerseys and glove, explored the rocks along the Lake Michigan shoreline, and finished with an orange dress that looked absolutely gorgeous on her.

I love when seniors bring the things they love into their sessions. It makes the images more personal and gives us so much variety.

Maddy absolutely nailed it, and I love how her gallery feels completely like her. Because your senior pictures shouldn’t look like everyone else’s. They should tell your story.
