There are some senior sessions that feel extra special, and Nora's was definitely one of them.
I've known Nora since her elementary school days, when her mom quickly became one of my closest friends. Long before I had a daughter of my own, Nora was the little girl I loved watching grow up. Over the years, I've photographed so many milestones for her family, so having the opportunity to capture her senior photos felt incredibly full circle. Now, Nora attends Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in the Milwaukee area. She is smart, driven, kind, and an incredibly talented rugby player. I have no doubt she will accomplish whatever she sets her mind to.
Even though the air quality wasn't ideal thanks to the Canadian wildfires, we decided to move forward with her session—and I'm so glad we did. Nora started the day with professional hair and makeup before we headed to downtown Sheboygan for a chic, city-inspired look. From there, we discovered beautiful wildflowers near the JMKAC Preserve and finished the evening at Kohler-Andrae State Park along the shores of Lake Michigan.
Every outfit matched each location perfectly, showing off Nora's personality and effortless style. She brought confidence, laughter, and plenty of fun energy to every stop. And because the best senior sessions always end with a little adventure, Nora wasn't afraid to get her feet, or body, wet—literally. She was willing to sit and lay in the water which made the perfect ending to her session.
Senior year is filled with big moments, big dreams, and even bigger possibilities. Watching Nora grow into the intelligent, determined, and compassionate young woman she is today has been a privilege. Her future is incredibly bright, and I know she will continue to make her family, friends, and community proud wherever life takes her next.
